1. Overview

At MetricViewer, we believe your data belongs to you. We designed our application architecture specifically to avoid collecting any personal information. MetricViewer does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our servers.

2. Data Handling

We distinguish between two types of data:

Monitoring Telemetry (CPU, GPU, FPS, etc.): This data is processed 100% locally on your PC and transmitted directly to your mobile device over your LAN. It never connects to the internet or our servers.
License Verification (Pro Users only): To validate your Pro license, a unique and anonymous Hardware Identifier (GUID) is briefly sent to our secure verification server (Google Cloud Functions). This data is used solely to sign a cryptographic token and is immediately discarded. We do not store your Machine ID, IP address, or link it to your personal identity database.

3. Permissions

The application requires specific permissions to function correctly:

Windows (Daemon): Administrator privileges are required solely to read hardware sensors (temperatures, voltages, fan speeds) via low-level drivers.
Android/iOS (App): Local Network permission is required to discover and connect to your PC. Camera permission is required solely to scan the pairing QR code.

4. Third-Party Services

The "Pro" version of MetricViewer is handled via In-App Purchases through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Financial transactions are processed entirely by these platforms; we never see or store your credit card information.
